Vision

By 2025 we will ensure a safety level in Estonia, which is equivalent to the safety level of Scandinavia

At the General Assembly in Narva on 4-5 November 2016, the Rescue Association adopted a new vision of “Safe Estonia 2025”. The vision is in line with the objective of the Rescue Board’s vision to ensure a safety level in Estonia, which is equivalent to the safety level of Scandinavia by 2025, taking into account the deaths and injuries caused by accidents.

As a Rescue Association, we find that, in order to achieve this goal, voluntary land and maritime rescue commandos must be more capable than they are at the moment. For this reason:

  • we will turn rescue commandos into the community’s safety centres
  • we will bring the skills of population protection to people
  • we will involve 25,000 people involved in voluntary rescuing
  • we will develop a new rescue model

In order to achieve our goals, we will involve both companies and citizens more actively. Let’s make life in Estonia safe!

Activity plan

We take specific steps in order to implement our vision. We are trying to involve more business sponsors and invite everyone to contribute on a smaller scale. Read more about our action plans here.
